Objectives of Social Work Services in Early Childhood Settings:
Early identification and intervention to prevent the deterioration of family issues, protect children, and support family functionality.
Organizing therapeutic and parenting education groups or seminars to assist parents in coping with the challenges of child development.
Supporting early childhood educators in identifying and responding to the welfare of preschool children and their family members.
Enhancing parents' knowledge of positive parenting to enrich communication and relationships with their children.
Strengthening partnerships between early childhood units and community organizations to expand support networks.
Target Audience:
Preschool children, their families, and staff within the participating early childhood units.
Service Format:
Social workers provide on-site services in early childhood units, including case counseling, consultation services, and therapeutic/developmental/educational groups and activities.
